Goodmail Systems Names Pam Haas Vice President of Channel Sales
Marketing Services Veteran to Oversee Sales of Company’s CertifiedEmail and Platform Products

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 22, 2008 — Goodmail Systems, creator of CertifiedEmail™, delivering email consumers want from companies they trust, today announced that Pamela Haas has joined the company as vice president of channel sales. Working with Goodmail’s network of authorized CertifiedEmail providers, Haas will be responsible for sales of the company’s flagship product as well as its new suite of inbox-based advertising and e-commerce products.
A marketing services industry veteran with over 20 years of progressive sales management and business development expertise, Haas comes to Goodmail most recently from Alliant Cooperative Data Solutions, where she was vice president of sales and business development. Prior to Alliant, Haas held sales management positions at Equifax Marketing Services and email service provider Bigfoot Interactive (Epsilon).
“As Goodmail broadens its portfolio of email-based ecommerce and advertising products, it was important to bring on an executive who understood both the potential of email as a marketing and advertising platform as well as the roll of email service providers and advertising agencies in delivering these solutions to brand and direct marketers,” said David Atlas, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. “Pam understands well the needs of marketing service providers and agencies to provide more value to clients’ marketing programs, and we’re delighted to have her on board.”
“In the past year I’ve watched the volume of CertifiedEmail soar and the continuing drumbeat of case study proof points showing lifts in email marketing open and click-through rates of 20% - 40%” said Haas. “When I learned about the company’s strategy of using that platform to drive new capabilities for e-commerce, media, and financial companies, I wanted to be part of delivering that to service providers and senders.”
More than 3.1 billion CertifiedEmail messages were delivered in September 2008, a thirty-times increase compared to the same period last year. Haas is a board member of the Direct Marketing Club of N.Y., a position she has occupied since 2005. Additionally, she was a DMA List and Database Council Operations Committee member in 2007. Reporting to Atlas, she will work out of New York City and oversee the company’s channel sales, channel management, and account management teams.
