Goodmail Systems to Join Panel Discussion About Deliverability at the Email Evolution Conference

Executives from Goodmail, Pivotal Veracity and StrongMail to Outline Best Practices for Avoiding Spam Filters and Ensuring Deliverability

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., February 4th, 2008 - Goodmail Systems®, creator of CertifiedEmail™, the industry’s standard trusted class of email, today announced that Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing David Atlas will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Deliverability 101—What You Need to Know” during the Email Evolution Conference, February 12-13, 2008 at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina in San Diego. Michelle Eichner, COO and vice president of client development for Pivotal Veracity LLC, and Spencer Kollas, director of delivery services for StrongMail, will join Atlas to discuss the challenges associated with delivery and what email marketers should do to ensure their messages are being delivered. The panel will also discuss the top three myths associated with email delivery.

“The simple truth is that consumers can’t act on messages they don’t receive,” said Atlas. “Legitimate marketers need to recognize that the ISP's first responsibility is to their customers. While ISPs have made significant strides in the fight against spam, cybercriminals are deploying increasingly sophisticated methods to get their messages into the inbox. In return, ISPs will continue to evolve the methods they use to block those messages. For legitimate email marketers, ensuring deliverability will require a greater understanding of the necessary steps to avoid getting caught in the spam net. The best email marketers know that consistent delivery is essential to increasing trust, consumer engagement and ultimately, customer loyalty.”
